Blank GW29 Review

March 19, 2024

Free Hit: Was it worth spending? A quick recap.

66% of managers used their Free Hit chip on this Blank Game week.

Blank Game week 29 is now history with an average of just 12 points, the worst is FPL history.

Game week started on Saturday afternoon with the game Burnley vs Brentford.
Final score 2-1 for Burnley with a red card to Reguilón (-3 pts) with an Effective Ownership of over 51%.
Blanks for the popular Brentford picks such as Toney (1 pt) and no Clean Shit for the Flekken (2 pts) owners.

Next game Luton vs Nottingham Forest. All square at Kenilworth Road with the final result at 1-1.
Nothing worth mentioning, as the goals where scored from players that were not popular picks (Berry and Wood). Only return the assist form Morgan Gibbs-White with 7 points.

Last Saturday game was one of the big surprises of the Game week. Fulham smashed Spurs with an emphatic 3-0 home win at Craven Cottage. Muniz once again getting double digit points (13) followed by Robertson (11) and of course Leno with 7 points. Nothing worth mentioning from the Spurs side as the most captained player of this Game week, Son, blanked (2 pts).

Moving to the only Sunday game and the last of this thriller game week with the game of West Ham and Aston Villa at London Stadium. Final result 1-1, with no returns from the popular picks such as Bowen (2pts), Kudus (1pt) and Areola from the home side, and Watkins (2pts), Bailey (2pts) and Douglas Luiz (1pt) form the away side.

To sum up, this was a game week that man managers want to forget fast. Those that used their free hit chip did not get the returns expected, while those that did not, are more or less on the same page, but with their chip still available.

International break coming up and plenty of time to plan your strategy for GW 30 premiering on Saturday 30th March.

Let’s have a look at my team, currently standing on 76k with 1771 overall points. I am one of those that used their Free Hit Chip.
